I had a successful career in retail management before transitioning to the nonprofit sector because I want to make a difference in the world. My nonprofit experience includes foundation and corporate grants management, annual giving, direct mail and marketing, database administration, planned giving, and special events. But my passion is research and writing, which is why I love being a grant writer.
I'm a returning student, earning my BA in Art History from the University of California, Magna cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and my MA at the University of Texas. I'm currently working on my doctorate in Art History at Emory University, where my field of research is ancient Greek and Roman art and archaeology. I've been part of archaeological projects at Pompeii and Samothrace as well as the Emory Parthenon Project. I hope to be an independent scholar and author while I continue my work as a nonprofit grant writer. You can visit my Emory or Academia profile to learn more about my research interests and work.
I'm an active volunteer with incarcerated women because I believe that everyone needs hope, no matter what mistakes they may have made in the past. I have a blog about art and faith, though I've been taking a hiatus so I can focus on my dissertation.
