Currently the Grants & Development Associate at the Olmsted Center for Sight (OCS), a non-profit agency serving 2,500 blind and visually impaired individuals across Western New York. During my tenure at OCS I've written grant proposals totaling over $2.5M to foundations, state agencies, and corporate philanthropic bodies. In addition to my primary grant writing responsibilities I draft newsletters, press releases, outreach materials, and other agency publications; oversee donation processing; and assist with major fundraising efforts and annual appeals.
Prior positions include a long-term grant writing internship at St. Joseph School in Rochester, NY, as well as a Graduate Assistantship in the Public Administration Department at the State University of New York, College at Brockport.
A graduate of the State University of New York, College at Brockport, I hold a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) degree with a concentration in Non-Profit Management. I'm a member of the Grant Professionals Association, and my long-term career goals include holding a leadership position in development or institutional giving at a major non-profit or university.
