As a nonprofit professional, I have always been passionate about helping others, especially supporting women and girl initiatives, while supporting missions through fundraising, grant development, strategic planning, and education.
Over the past 18 years, I have been fortunate to represent American women and girls on the international stage at summits held in the Philippines, Jordan, England, and at the United Nations. I’ve taught and trained thousands in how to be leaders and serve their communities while also raising over $14million in funds for several organizations, serving as a federal grant reviewer, and co-founding a social enterprise. My own leadership and service efforts lead to a full scholarship for my undergraduate education and an assistantship to attend graduate school.
Thanks to these experiences, I love to encourage other women to take advantage of opportunities, grow in their profession, and give back to their communities. I am the former Executive Director of the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA) and The Foundation of AFWA, serving over 2,000 members across the country. Female supporting professional associations provide a great arena for women to excel and try new things while being supported by other women.
