I have been a nonprofit professional since 2004. I have 15 years of experience writing successful grant proposals for foundation, corporate, and government funders, including local government, state government, and pass-through federal funds obtained at the city and state levels. In past roles grant-writing was only one component of my job, and I have experience in fundraising and development, leadership, management, administration, communications, and more. In 2018 I transitioned to full-time grant writing and coordination in higher education and now focus more on federal proposals.
Outside of work, I have volunteered with a variety of local nonprofits, including as a pro-bono grant consultant and a grant reviewer. I am an active member of my church and currently serve on committees for communications and finance/benevolence. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, and good TV shows (and a few not-so-good ones), in addition to spending time with family and friends.
